Hi All ...

I just found this site through a search ...

I made my first quilt in 2002(?) for my niece ... then didn't do another until this year ... made a queen size for my husband (okay ... maybe not so much him) and I - and just finished a baby one for my best friend.

I have one waiting in the wings to start (had to clean the table off for company!) ... and lots of ideas brewing again.

Hope to be a little active on the board now that I've found one!

Beverly

Welcome! It sounds like you've got the quilting bug too! This is a wonderful place to be, to learn and share, encourage and laugh.

Welcome from western CT. My DD and family live in New Paltz, and once upon a time they lived in Tivoli. That's when we were introduced to the Hudson Valley - and fell in love with it!

DSIL is curator of the Dorsky Art Museum at SUNY New Paltz. He has a WONDERFUL exhibit with panoramic photos of the Hudson River. They are about 200 feet long. They were taken of BOTH sides of the Hudson River in 1909 and 2009. They are displayed hanging from the ceiling so that you walk BETWEEN the sides as if you are the river and the pictures are on your right and left. The exhibit will be there until Sept 11. There are also paintings from the NY Historical Society by the Hudson River School.
