Oh nursie you are so lucky. Sounds to me like he is already gaining interest. It won't be long.

It's me, nursie76, I am the lucky wife of "husband-of-a-quilter".
He really is my better half, no doubt about it...was just "consulting with him on colors for the border of a quilt a little while ago.
Maybe you folks can help me convince him to learn to quilt 8-)

It is just a matter of time!

Hi and welcome. It is so nice to hear of a husband that supports his wife's hobby.

Welcome Husband! I chuckled when you mentioned sewing machines that cost more than the cars you drive. Hadn't thought of that, but it's true. Nursie says you are helping her with color selection. My husband is so much better at color than I am!

my father is an avid quilter, my mother also quilts. but dad took is up after he was disabled due to rhemitod arthris. It keeps his hands limber. they can always be counted on to donate a quilt for any function such as grads from church to church fund raiser even church conferences. Neither one has gotten into FMQ to hard on their hands but mom ties all the quilts. here are a coulpe pictues of their work the first is my nephew kyle's church graduation quilt. I actually did the blocks and never got around to setting them so gave them to them. they thought it was extra special that his aunt had mad the blocks.
the second is a second quilt my dad made using thangles. i was trying to get hin to do HST were still working on them but since I'm in Missouri and they are in Minnesota its a challenge. but I am very proud to have a dad that quilts!! Now I just need to get my husband quilting, but his support is AWESOME!!!

Speaking from the wifey side of the relationship, I definitely feel blessed to have "Husband" as my DH....it was 34 years this past April.

Mstanridge - Your parents are so generous with their talents. Your dads quilts are beautiful and the blocks you pieced also.
