Hi from Illinois!

Hi everybody! I'm from Rockford, and have just started quilting. Technically, I have made one quilt top. I'm looking forward to learning much, much more!

I think the Sinnissippi Quilt Guild meets the first Thursday of the month during the day and in the evening. At a church on State Street about halfway between Alpine and Swede's Hospital, if I remember properly. It has alot of members, maybe 200??. Has educational programs all the time, probably 6 mini-seminars a year, interest groups that get together, plus the regular meetings have speakers. I belonged once but it is a haul from Woodstock in the winter. Very, very nice group with lots going on. From beginners to experts. I would highly recommend that you try it. You have to go a few times to get the hang of it because it is such a large group it can be intimidating. If you want a"friend" to attend with, PM me and I will go to a meeting with you.
