You were in my stomping grounds.

Debbie's is nice a shop. On Fridays her FQ are on sale. Did you sign up for the Store Calender?

I'm sad about Big City too. I was in last Wednesday and found some more fabrics at 80%. She has a list of people to call when she comes up to do classes.

Have you tried Bolts in the Tub? They are pricey, but have a great collection.

Welcome Judy, I have a sis-in-law who lives in Apple Valley. I went to visit her about 4 years ago. It had sure changed since the last time I was down there about 20 years ago!! crafty_linda_b

Hi Judy and welcome aboard from Germany. So nice of you to make comforting things for others in need. Bless your heart :).

Hi,
Yes, I signed up for Debbie's e-mails and calendar. I'll have to get up there on a Friday for her sales. I am really sorry about Big City. Jean taught me to quilt about 8 yrs. ago and I have stuck with her shop because of the friendliness and kindness. I've been to Bolts only once and although they have nice fabric, she is a bit more expensive and I did not like the attitude of the two people working that day---snobbish!! I love Tehachapi and we go up there often for a ride and lunch and now I'll be heading into Debbie's once in a while, too.
Chat soon

Thank you for your note. The "comfort quilts" are said to give comfort in three ways - the scriptures give comfort to the mind, they comfort those that need warmth due to cancer treatments, and the warmth of God holding the recipient in his arms. Originally, I did the comfort quilts and the recipient received the blessing but because of the thanks we get when we present these to a patient, a nursing home recipient
, a serviceman or something, I feel blessed. These quilts are never for sale - would like to make a quilt for myself someday, but right now they are for others. judy
