Welcome and don't be afraid. I was very leery of trying FMQ and yeah I messed up a lot, but now it is just plain fun. That old saying about practice makes perfect is true, just make some sandwiches and play around with them.

Thanks for the advice - bought a walking foot and a stitch in the ditch foot.

Just get out a practice sandwich and start sewing. Once you get the rhythm, start on the quilt.

welcome to the board from Lakewood, CO. get a couple of scraps to sandwich first and practice on them, you will do great. draw some designs and go slow. and practice practice practice
