Hi from Indiana.
Just waned to say hi from Indiana and I Love this board! * I've always wanted to learn to quilt but I work full time and live in a rural area with very little time to run to town to take classes. I've learned so much from all of you over the past few months of lurking. You have given me the knowledge and confidence to be able to do this on my own. So ThankYou ! You're awesome! :o)

HI Welcome from Co. You will be able to quilt, just use some squares and put them together and voila', a quilt. Do be careful with the 1/4 inch stitch, and square up, (make sure they are the same size when you measure them). You will do fine.

Welcome from the gulf! I'm originally born and bred Hoosier. That's where my roots are. No one taught me how to quilt. Haven't made many at all but I learned by watching videos on Youtube and PBS on Saturday morning. If you get an opportunity to take a special class then do. You can go to YouTube and type in quilting lessons for beginners. If you have a smart phone and happen to be on lunch you can get it by downloading the app for YouTube also. This board will have different links for you to check out. You can start small with little blankets, coasters, placemats, etc. Just enjoy the ride. Ignore any quilt police! Need material, check your own closets. Don't throw out those denim jeans or kids clothes. Check out Quiltville.com also or just google Bonnie Hunter for scrap quilts. Once again enjoy the ride.
