Hello and welcome from an Iowa girl. Take a deep breath, put it aside for a bit, then go back to your Christmas present quilt. This is the time to look at other quilts for inspiration--the board here is a great place to start, but I keep my old Q Mags and several books just for new ideas. Become a "what if" person and put post it notes on the pages of ideas you like. The what if's may not become a reality, but it gets you thinking.
