Hi from Minnesota.
Hi from New Ulm. New here. Does anyone know how to micro adjust a push down vintage Koala Cabinet? My machine sits too low. Any advice would be helpful. TIA.

Sorry, I don't have any knowledge of your cabinet but welcome to the board. Just a suggestion, but have you tried youtube or google? Perhaps, you might find an answer there.

Julie Greene, welcome to the Quiltboard from Kansas! When I read New Ulm, MN. I thought wow, I have an aunt and uncle who lived there for 40 years or better. I have no advice on your question either, but wanted to welcome you. Lena1952"s suggestion to google is good advice.

Welcome from Ontario, Canada. I don’t have a Koala cabinet but if your machine is a bit low, I might try a couple of layers of rubberized shelf liner underneath the machine. If you need more height, cutting a foam child’s paddle board to fit under your machine might work.

I have another kind of cabinet and my machine was sitting low. I used 4 of the round bottoms on Aurifil threads under the 4 corners of my machine. This raised it to the right height needed. These are those round bottoms/stands on Aurifil thread that are removable.

Hello and Welcome!

Welcome from sunny Southern California!

Was just in New Ulm today visiting the 3 quilt shops. Have friends from Canada here and out checking out shops.

Hi from New Ulm
Which shop was your favorite? They are each so different. Have you checked out Quilting By The Hearth in Lonsdale yet?

Hi Tartan.
Tartan has great idea to add layers of rubber or foam to bring up the height. I will keep that in mind! I did talk to Creative Sewing and they told me how to try to micro adjust the table height, just have to buy a socket set. If that fails I will do the foam!

Which is a favorite in New Ulm? Sewing Seeds, but they are all good.

Welcome to the board from NE Ohio.

Finally, Success! Fixed the Koala table height!
Woo-hoo! Succeeded in micro adjusting the Koala manual table height. Only took $50 investment in rachet set and 3 trips to hardware store, flashlight, 6 inch ruler to figure out just how much higher the table needed to go, my daughter to push down on table while holding the flashlight, while I contorted my 62 yr old body underneath and 1 feline inspector monitoring the entire process. Hope I NEVER have to do this again....

Huzzah. Feline inspectors make a world of difference. Your tools will come in useful. Now you need to buy a vintage Minnesota machine. ( sold by Sears)
