HI from Ohio
 
Hi everyone ! I am so excited to find this board and connect with quilters around to world. I am ATwanabe and have been quilting since 2004. I'm afraid I suffered from craft ADD, jumping from one form of crafting to another ( I think I have tried them all) until I found quilting. Here I can combine my love of sewing, fabrics, color, needlework, painting into one glorious creative outlet. And I creating something useful for my home and family, so my practical side is happy too.

About my name, it is my old backpacking handle. The AT stands for the Appalachian Trail, which I always want to be on. Due to an injury I can no longer backpack but my heart remains close to the hiking community. I now get my wilderness fix by day hiking and volunteering out at our local state park.

More about me, I am recently retired (more time for quilting YEA), have 3 kids and 8 grandkids ( that are the light of my life). I enjoy all the steps of quilting but designing, picking the colors and patterns is my favorite. I love seeing my inspiration come to life. I would really like to push myself creatively and am looking forward the exchange of ideas this board provides.
