Just found this forum. hope to learn a lot!
I started quilting last year... mostly learning from books and surfing the web. Have become quite proficient at it, for the most part--as long as it's the standard squares, rectangles, half- and quarter- triangles! Once I master them I might move onto something more challenging (diamonds, curves... and all the other fun stuff). For the time being, I'm buying kits or block of the month stuff, so i can concentrate on piecing and not so much on design, color coordination, etc.
But I do miss the tidbits one can get from a group. unfortunately my schedule doesn't allow for attending quilting classes, so... I'm stuck learning from the web.
I hope this forum will fill in that hole!
