Hi Everyone! Nice to meet you!
I've been perusing the board for a while now and getting the newsletters for some time as well. I'm semi new to quilting...meaning, I've quilted small projects since my younger years, but never took on the full task of quilt making (completely from scratch) for a bed (or gifts) until the last year or so. At the end of last summer I joined our local quilt guild and so far, I'm loving it!
So far, I've only made two complete quilts (both for my grands) but do have several quilts in the works (if only in my head!).
I guess you could say I'm an old fashioned quilter, because I like to quilt them by hand on the quilt frame. I find it relaxing and the time and work goes by quickly while watching tv.
Quilting is not my only love though, I'm an 'all around crafter'. Cross-stitch, sewing, painting and simply creating 'stuff!' Sometimes I find it hard to find the time to do all the things I want to do! (and it's going to get tougher with starting a new job soon!)
I hope to be able to jump in often here at the forums and to keep up with the quilting and crafting!
I've LOVED all the pictures of the quilts everyone has posted..they are LOVELY! I'm so jealous!
WARNING: I may cry out desperatly to everyone for inspiration and MOTIVATION!
