Hi Sarah, welcome and condolences regarding your cousin. Do you know about a shop in Southport called Crafts and Quilts in Marshside Rd ? We came up to visit friends in Manchester from Hampshire and found this shop- it is very good and they are often at the big quilts shows. Hi Sarah! Welcome from New York. While this site offers support and encouragement, I'd recommend a quilting class. Go to your LQS (local quilt shop) and sign up for a beginners class. You won't regret it.
