Hi from Louisville, KY. This is the first quilt I ever made. I really did not know what I was doing but learned along the two and a half year journey! This was made from my younger son's t-shirts gathered from his years at school, soccer, Louisville Youth Orchestra, plays, etc. Then he took it to college and lost it!
It took me awhile to begin quilting again. We are now finishing work on our house and I will have a quilting room. Can't wait to get started again.
I have enjoyed reading all the hellos and questions/answers and looking at pictures of your beautiful quilts. I've gotten many tips already! Thanks.

Trying again to send picture.

How is your name pronounced? sue-knee or sunny (day)? Something else?

I always tell people that it is like the weather - sunny. Just to make life more interesting I married a guy whose last name is Fair. 8-)

Love it! I am "sunny" also and the kids at school started calling me SunnyD after the drink. Little did they know that my middle name is Dee!

Yes, from school, youth orchestra, plays he was in, the band he was in...One t-shirt was from first grade with the class logo and signatures from all his classmates.
If you saw the intro, you know he lost it in college! I cried for a while and still get sad when I see pictures of it. We tried to find it through the college paper but to no avail.
