I am a complete newbie at quilting (have plans & fabric but havn't started first quilt.
Also this is first time ever posting anywhere. Been trying to figure out how to ask a question? So I'm just going to do it here. About pre washing fabrics, do I wash fat quarters? also charm paks? Just ordered some. Thanks

Welcome to the board. I started out washing my fabric. After the first time I felt it was a waste of time. I didn't like the way the fabric came out of my dryer all wrinkled. So I no longer wash my fabric. I haven't had a problem with the fabric after it has been put in to a quilt. Some quilter wash some don't you just have to decide if you do or not.

Hello and welcome from Ontario. I wash my yardage but really have not worked much with precuts, since I usually cut my own squares and strips.
