I am originally from Oklahoma and now living in Katy, TX. I've sewn all my life but only started quilting recently. I just completed my first quilt - a small Christmas quilt for my daughter, started in November and finished on Valentine's Day. :o

I decided to join the Quilting Board because every time I google for a quilting solution, I find an answer here! In fact I've gotten more help from this website than any other. What a great group!

Is Katy between Houston and LaGrange? I went to the quilt museum in LaGrange in October 2012 and think we drove through or by Katy. If you are close to Houston be sure to take advantage of the Quilt Festival - you would love it!
