New here, saying hi! I live in Apache Junction, AZ which is east of Phoenix by about 30 miles. I found the Quilting Board thanks to a post in the LiveJournal Quilting community.

I've been sewing since I was 7 (almost 30 years- it's a funny feeling for me to be able to say that!), and quilting for 9 years. I'm a work-at-home mom to a 10 year old girl and 2-1/2 month old boy, trying to build my quilting into a sustainable business to help supplement my husband's paycheck.

Quilting is my escape- even when things aren't going right, the machines don't cooperate, or I have to reverse sew a seam, I still love what I do. Creating art that other people will love & use every day is such a joy!

Hubby family have lived in the mesa area. So we have been back that way to AJ. Welcome to the board from a Texan

Welcome, and wish you much success with your business. My MIL and one SIL live in Mesa. We visited several years ago and enjoyed the area very much. It was Dec. so no heat. Don't think I could do it in the summer.
