I have been quilting for over ten years, and entering local competitions, mostly to see how I am progressing in the quilting world. Love collecting fabrics and books, crates are full and the book shelves are groaning under the weight......lots of "must do".
I am enjoying this site, and am inspired by looking at the lovely photos of finished quilts.

Yes, it is great there. It's nice to see Australia in amongst the members. We used to live in Australia. Our home was in Wangaratta and we have visited many times in the intervening years. We lived there for two years (1986-88) while my husband was transferring technology down to Australia. Australia is where I began to REALLY love to sew, as that was my hobby, along with birdwatching, for the two years I lived there. We still use skype to visit with our friends there.
