Hi. I'm new here and pretty new to quilting. I've made two small (wallhanging and baby) quilts and am finishing up a twin size quilt now. As I don't know anyone who quilts personally, it's been great to find a place where I can learn and get ideas from more experienced quilters.

Here's a picture of my current quilt top (don't look too close, it's far from perfect! :? ). I've since added a 4" border of the light blue fabric. I'll be machine quilting it myself (just straight diagonal lines) and hopefully getting it done by next weekend!

Hi - I'm new too. Just wanted to say that I recognize that quilt top! That was the first quilt I made - from Alex Anderson's book. I made mine in green and it was a wall hanging. It's a great pattern. Looks really good in blue!!

Yea, I made the wallhanging first (in blues) for myself. I bought the material years ago and finally got around to using it a few months ago, now I'm hooked on quilting. :) I think that pattern would look great in a burgundy/mauve kind of mix. I'm thinking about doing an Irish Chain next.
