I am new here and an avid quilter. I am self taught and learned by watching quilt shows and going to quilt shows. I made my share of mistakes and rough quilts. I am at the point now where I can give my quilts as gifts and sit back and enjoy. What I enjoy doing most is making patterns that I see and always adding some little thing into it to make it from me. I mostly quilt small quilts like wall quilts or baby quilts or lap quilts, because at this point I do everything on my home sewing machine. Sometimes hand finishing small areas on a quilt if needed. I use to work as a tailor for menswear for over 15 years, but I always enjoyed quilting. I hope to find alot of interesting things that might help me. I love any new and different patterns, but my favorite are the traditional blocks.
I also enjoy foundation piecing. Its fast and fun. Hope to talk with some of you at this site.
