Hello, I am Sandy, a newbie of sorts. I belonged to this site, but I have not posted here. I don't know why. I am interested in quilting, but not the old fashion way. My taste runs to embroidered blocks or pastel designs. I have lots of designs, but having never made a quilt, I really don't know how to put one together. And I want to do it on my machine. I have a Viking Diamond and it will do almost anything. I have not used it much because I am very ill. But these quilts do appeal to me.

Welcome from NW Ohio. I have a Viking Designer 1 and an SE. I've done a couple of quilts using embroidery designs for my grandkids. Choose your designs, stitch them then go from there. Quilting is not difficult and you surely have the machine to do it. You will love the beautiful things you can do with it. Sewing is also great therapy for a lot of us. Time seems to pass very quickly when I get involved in working on a quilt. I hope you are feeling better soon! Ruthy
