Welcome welcome from Indiana. There are a lot of wonderful quilters here who are very patient and happy to help out. I'm fairly new myself and have been quilting for just 3 years or so.

Thank you so much, all of you! Great welcome!!
Actually, I was looking for the technique in which the invited guest (forgot her name) in yesterday's episode of Fons & Porter cut her circles. The work results in placemats, murals, etc.. She makes circles, then recuts inside the circles to make more circled pieces and all of then are finally joined with decorative stitches (machine-stitched). I would have hoped for a video of this specific episode and searched all afternoon yesterday with no result except finding this wonderful forum!!! Maybe someone saw this episode? It was on PBS New York but I am in south Quebec. Actually, I am french-speaking.. hope that my english is ok?

After research again this morning, it is Sun and Moons With Jane Sassaman...

Welcome from Central Illinois!!! Your English is fantastic!! Not to worry at all! I actually saw that episode!! It was a pretty neat technique. I was wondering how I could rig one of the circle sewing attachments to my machine. I don't think they make one for it, so I'll have to get creative!

Well, going around in the forum, I saw one of the ladies show a way to sew circles only by taping a thumbtack point up, placing the fabric on this and simply sewing, letting the pin of the thumbtack hold the fabric. Forgot where I saw this but I think it is in one of the posts of this forum somewhere..
