I've been a crocheter for over 21 years and I'm burned out and ready for a new challenge. I've never quilted before and I've never sewed a whole lot. Got my hands full don't I? Oh well, I'm up for a challenge. Before I jump in over my head, I'm reading up on quilting and getting an idea of what's to come. I would greatly appreciate any advice you could give me. I'm looking forward to learning a lot from this forum and also looking to make some wonderful friends.

Welcome from Minnesota!

My suggestion is to start small ... maybe a crib or lap quilt, or even a wall hanging or placemats. And if possible take a class at a local quilt shop (LQS). Good luck!!

Hi and welcome from Alaska. I used to crochet like a mad woman too. But I returned to sewing which has always been my first love and I took up quilting when hubby said not to go back to work. Loving it. Still admire crochet too.
