Thank you for the sweet welcoming words. I am trying to get the hang of this board...like....I just saw that people responded to my intro. I met leah at the AQS show in Paducah...she told me about this board and she was so great....she gave me some encouragement that was very needed. Hay, leah!
So, I will figure out how to post photos here. I also have a website: threadpaint.com There are photos there. I'm enjoying reading the posts....so much fun!!!! |

Welcome from Manitoba, I started sewing clothes for myself (for work), sewed huge children inventory(sold them little at a time), after mother's passing away from ALS I joined guild in my capital city. Boy! Was I up for a challenge, no art ability, hated applique, couldn't hand sew, saw no purpose in learning, everyone was so very good at quilting.. I almost gave up.. Feeling fabric, purchasing tools, machines, fabrics I could do no problem, then it started coming together little by little. I realized maybe in this time & age I'd be dyslectic. Now, I'm proud to have discovered life with a cat whom I tell my intimate secrets, and a darning foot. Realizing I'm still behind by about 30yrs, still feel I make progress.
