I have been quilting since my husband suprised me with a Jenome machine for Christmas (I was in tears). That was about 5 years ago. With 3 kids, husband and a farm it's hard to find time for my hobby. I have one son in Kuwait with the Army, and another son (12) and daughter (9) at home. I have lived in NE Kansas all my life.

Hi and Welcome from Northern Indiana ! Trust me we all wish we had more time for our hobby but life seems to get in the way  Need any help, just ask lots of friendly helpful people here

Thanks for the reply. I feel at home already. My husband and I have been to Indiana a couple of times to an engine show in Portland.

Welcome to the board, and big waves from Ireland, I hope you like it here, and manage to get sitting at that sewing machine a bit more often.

Welcome from sunny Southern California. Hey, we all like to see where people are from. If you go into My Profile and fill in the FROM section we can all see it whenever you post. :)

I second the Thank You to both your son and your family. I know it's hard on both sides, but we appreciate his service in keeping us safe.

Welcome from another farmwife--although some days it's just "farmer". Gotta go--calf chores to do, chickens to butcher (20), and DH cut hay yesterday. Lots of caring people here :) :-) :-)

Welcome from South Louisiana. I, too, own a Janome which is pretty old. It's an MC4000. Congratulations on being a home schooler. I'm a retired first grade teacher. It's not too early to start with the little one.
