Hi there,

I'm a fairly new quilter. I like to make larger freeform modern patchwork. While I do like to experiment, I sometimes need someone with experience to teach me some things. I really appreciate all the help that I can get.

I do read many books but sometimes I have a hard time understanding the simple things. Please be patient with me if I ask silly questions.

Another WELCOME from sunny Southern California. Hey, we like to see where everybody is from. If you go to MyProfile and fill in the FROM line, it will show up on your posts, like the one you see by my avatar.

Welcome to the board from Ireland - and no questions on here are silly ones, we don't have any quilt police either, great isn't it? We also like to see pictures when you get around to it.

Thanks everyone!

I'm from Massachusetts. Hopefully it will show up now that I've updated it.

As a guy, it's been a little difficult finding craft-friends and mentors. I'm really happy to have found a place where I can come to when I have questions. Who knows, maybe I'll eventually find a guild in the area that I can take the public transportation to.
