We have some friends that are going to Ireland in a few weeks. They usually ask if there is anything they can bring back for me. Anything you could tell me about the Irish cotton fabric? Is it imported like it is in the US (at least some of it) or is it processed in Ireland like it is in the US (at least some of it)? I would love to have some fabric to remember their trip by (I always take care of their house and they like to bring back a treat and this would be a good one.) I just finished listening three of Nora Roberts books and they take place in Ireland and your country sounds so beautiful and if Nora Roberts is as good an author as her books portray, the people are good, hardworking, fun loving and caring people. They are (in order) "Jewels of the Sun", "Tears of the Moon", and Heart of the Sea".

hi, just signed up to this site on April 16,2010. I sent a quick reply earlier but didn't send it to the right place(don't think so anyway). I was looking at a lot of pictures of the Drunkard's Path quilts. I said that I had made a quilt top of the Drunkard Path when I was 16( am now 57) but have never put it with the batting and backing. all good things take time, sometimes a lot of time. my mother told me to do it all by hand(am terrible at hand sewing) the hand sewing came out --oh well? if it is ever finished and used and then needs washing, it will probably apart. I did make three flannel baby rag quilts. one for my granddaughter and her twin brother and another one for my other grandson. they came out nice. you can even wash them and they won't fall apart. the original quilt had teddy bears in the four 12" corner squares. I did it like the directions for my grandson but for the twins I used sunbonnet sue and her brother sam for the twins. they came out neat. I am talking too much and have been on the computer all day so I need to get off and do something in the house.(like work) will be back in the future if I can figure out where to look. it was nice meeting everyone. bye for now. my name is DEBRA PONTBRIAND and i live in Southbridge, MA my username is delsue
