I have done a couple of postcards. I bought a book on how to do it. Probably will do more as time allows. It is a lot of fun. Marge in Pa.

I have made fabric postcards and they are a lot of fun. You can piece or applique the front-anything you want. You can even glue on buttons, charms, etc. I use an index card for the side of the postcard you are going to write on. Layer with batting in the middle and zig-zag around the outside. I take mine to the post office and ask them to hand cancel them. Depending on who is working the window will determine how much postage you are going to pay-no one seems to know what to do with them!!! They do travel through the mail with no problem though and everyone seems to love getting them!!

I did hear/or see where people are recycling the microwave popcorn clear plastic sleeve (cut carefully a slice in 1 end, then reuse by adding tape to close)to slide the postcards in and mail them. Great idea but, I personally think that the bumps and marks left from mailing would be a great keeper:))Skeat
