I fear I've been rude - I've been reading your posts, loving the photos and even adding my 2 cents from time to time, but have not yet introduced myself. My mother would smack me! I'm mother to 2 grown girls, grandmother to 2 boys and have been quilting for about 10 years or so. I make simple quilts that are meant to be used. Admire those gorgeous art quilts, but I could never do one. As with most quilters, I don't have enough time to enjoy the craft but I try. I knit & crochet hats for newborns in a local hospital and also make receiving blankets. Belong to a knit/crochet group that makes chemo caps, preemie hats & blankets, scarves for sailors and soldiers, lapghans for VA hospital, etc. Love to garden, cook, bake, read, yoga and walks. Help hubby run a business and take care of my 7 yr. old grandson a few days a week. You are all so friendly, kind and talented and I'm happy to make your acquaintance!

Hello, from Berks Co., PA. I am a retired teacher and have started quilting since I retired. I have made crib quilts and full size quilts for my 6 grandchildren. At the present time I have started a rag quilt for my soon-to-be 21 year old grandson. However, I have also fallen in love with counted cross stitch so the days are not long enough. How does one load a picture when they post? I have a lot to learn about computers! EdithAnne

Hi Redquilter and welcome from GA. You sound like a really busy lady and I do not see where you find time to do ANY quilting with all the interests and hobbies you have to keep you busy. It is so sweet of you to do so much work for others. You are an angel to many.
