Hi, I just joined today and am happy to be here. I haven't done any quilting for years. We (dh & I ) are finishing our basement and I came across my quilting books and started looking through my stash. WOW! I forgot that there was so much!
The reason that I stopped quilting was that I lost my son, 2002, and I just stopped quilting. I have, in the past two or three months, got reinterested in crocheting and knitting. Now, hopefully, I am back to quilting. I am starting easy it seems like I have forgotten everything I knew! Talk about a mind block! Also I am still finding tools, etc that I used to use.
I am also learning about the new items for quilting. Jelly rolls? hmmm that opens a whole new concept! Why not cut a 2 1/2" strip everytime you cut some fabric. And yes I have that much fabric! I did make a couple of bib aprons awhile ago and bought new fabric for that, what can I say, just had to have a certain pattern. (fruit).
Anyway, thanks for letting me join.
