Hello from Virginia! A year or so ago I cut a pattern out of a magazine and have since made 8 Christmas Wreaths, but I have lost the pattern and have been searching everywhere for the instructions. It is made with two different sizes of lily blocks...sort of like a log cabin pattern. It is not very large and more of a wall hanging. :( I gave one each to my sister in laws and would like to make them for my nieces now....but if I do not find the pattern soon...

Hello & welcome from Nottingham, UK.

Not to sure if this link will be of any help to you - it's a type of wreath made using log cabin blocks that one of ladies involved in the IRR is making. Click on the link below & take a peek.

That is beautiful. I need to do a search and find that pattern. What a nice gift it would make and log cabin blocks are usually pretty easy to make. Would you say that block was easy?

Feathers 01-28-2009 04:10 PM

RME4US: If you can post a picture of your SIL's wall hanging you'll probably have better luck getting a pattern. We all see so much in our web ramblings and with a picture we can all be on the look out for what you are needing.

Opps, just now am seeing your picture. I'll be on the hunt for the pattern for you.

Welcome from Oregon.

RME4us 01-29-2009 03:58 AM

I have been quilting for three years and as I mentioned...I made several...not all my corners are straight but I learned early on that, that is what makes a quilt perfect. Like life...nobody on earth is perfect! So I would say, yes, it was easy. (Just don't "THINK" you have enough material...make sure you DO before you start!) Silly me....

Once I figure out how to get around the board better I will try and post the instructions!

I forgot to say that I just love your quilt--glad you found the pattern

GailG 02-07-2009 04:20 PM

Love the wreath. So happy that you found the pattern. This looks like something I could tackle. Don't you just hate it when you know you have an item in that sewing room and you just can't seem to put your fingers on it. But, eventually it does show up. Thanks for showing this to us and welcome to the board from South Louisiana.

sandpat 02-07-2009 04:49 PM
