Iris from Valparaiso, FL

Hello! I found this board last night as I was desperately searching for an answer to a problem with my (new to me) preowned Bernina 830. It was causing me so much distress that I already had an email to the seller ready to send asking to return it for a refund. I noted all the advice from a similar question by another member that was posted several years ago, and also private messaged one of the members for more details. You were all so very helpful and I'm grateful for this forum.

I'm from Valparaiso, FL which is a tiny community situated right between Destin and Ft Walton Beach. I'm married and blessed with two grown sons and daughters-in-law and one awesome 7-year-old grandson. We've recently rescued Harrison our English Bull Terrier who loves to snooze at my feet when I sew. I began quilting when my grandson was born and my first quilt was made for his first birthday. I've not stopped quilting since.

Again, thank you all for this board. I look forward to learning so much from everyone.

Iris

Hi Iris, and welcome from the other side of our country. Here in Southern California we're in for a heatwave. I started to make quilts when my first grandchild was born, too. It's led to many hours of learning, experimentation and satisfaction. Our board is a wonderful place because the people on it are knowledgeable and helpful. Glad you're here!

Hello and welcome!

I hope you found a solution for your machine. The members are always helpful with issues and questions.

Thank you, Rhonda! I can't tell you how relieved I was to get the machine working properly again. Without this board that wouldn't have happened. https://cdn.quiltingboard.com/images/smilies/boy.gif

Thank you! One day I'm going to make it up to Kentucky - I hear the land is beautiful there.

Hello Sally!
It's been hot here, too, along with a little too much rain from all the tropical storms coming up through the Caribbean. Thank you for the warm welcome; I know I'll learn so much!
