Any one know anything about a Janome Excel Pro 5124.
I bought for my wife about 3 or 4 years ago. She didn't speak english at the time. So I tryed to get somthing good for her. She loves to sew. She loves the machine but I always wondered if I got a good model. I didn't know about this site at the time. 'Thanks, Walt |
Walt, can't tell you anything about that model. but Janomes in general are good machines.

Walt...you can go to the Janome site direct to check out any of their machines and what they do exactly. Go to: http://janome.com/index.cfm and to their machine department and find any/all their machines. It states that the machine she has will sew thru thick fabrics, etc...I'd say it a good thing:))I've never heard any complaints on the Janomes...you did good Walt!! Skeat

Welcome, I'm so glad you found a machine that you love! Isn't it nice to know that a nice solid reliable helper will be waiting for you every time you want to sit down and sew! :D :D :D

Wow they make a lot of machines.
I've seen her sew some pretty thick material, so I guess it's ok. The important thing is that she really likes it. Thanks |

I had the basic Janome, traded up to the 3016, and was going to buy the 6600p. Looked for a year and then went to the Brother QC1000. Holy Cow it has so many options. It sews diagonally and horizontally, over 300 different stitches and all the feet are included. much better buy than the 6600 and comparable but $400 cheaper at a quilt show.
