I know that problem. Unfortunately we can only buy with machines with jumbo bobbins or use thinner weight bobbin thread to get some extra mileage out of our bobbins.

Always do the bobbin tension first. Look in the manual for the proper hang or weight test to adjust your bobbin. If the bobbin tension and top tension are too loose, you have a different tension for each type of fabric. It will not be consistent. So do the bobbin first.

Do you have a zig zag stitch on that machine? It could be that the hook timing is not centered for a zig zag machine, or you have a burr on the rotary hook.

I had that same question when I first started in this industry. It's mechanically impossible to have too large a bobbin or a continuous bobbin. Every time your machine makes a stitch, the top thread wraps completely around the floating bobbin case. Some of the Long arm quilting machines and commercial embroidery machines are using a jumbo bobbin that is about 2 times the size of the standard L type bobbin that you have. The problem is that the tension is not consistent from beginning to end on Jumbo bobbins and with a jumbo hook and a jumbo bobbin, it is more difficult to sew on small tubular items like socks.
