After signing up for Konstantine's newsletter I've done a bit of lurking, but guess it's time to come out of lurkdom and join the fun. I became so addicted to quilting in the early 1990's that I just *had* to retire at the end of 1997 to have more time to quilt. :D Now I've become an avid Quilts of Valor member. I see there's a red/white/blue swap open and am considering joining that one. Because it's so important for us to be careful that no offensive smells reach our wounded warriors I need to be very careful that no perfumes or smoke is in the fabrics. I'm hoping to find that this is one of the swap rules.......I'll go read them now and make sure. Anyway..just wanted to say hello to you all. I'm also a native Oregonian (proud to be a SNOB, Society of Native Oregon Born) :-D

Welcome Grammylinda from Washington state. You will love this board. It is very addictive, but everytime you spend time on here you learn something new. I am a former Oregonian, moved to Washington 20 years ago (hard to believe that much time has gone by). Looking forward to seeing postings of things you've made.
