just figuring out
Got on the board for question on a quilting machine I got which I should have passed on LOL! Well more about me. I'm retired USDA Food Inspector, who as a little girl, watched her grandmother make quilts for a living on week ends when we visited. Done all kinds of crafts threw the years, ceramics, sewing, felt Christmas Stockings, oil painting, knitting and Crochet. Then in 2010 neighbor found out at 32 she was not going to beat Cancer and had 3 small kids that call me Granny Heather. That is when I first even thought of quilting when I saw a Memory quilt on FB. So I asked her husband for their Pictures which she had put on disks. And made a Memory quilt for each child. She didn't get to see them. But friends from church helped me get them finished for the funeral. Pictures of the quilts are in my album. And a Quilter I have been ever since, I now have bags of scrapes in my closets and dressers. Hand quilted and sewing machine quilted which is hard for the bigger quilts. I want a Quilting machine that works so I can do quilts faster and experiment on designs. I quilt in honor of Melanie, for whom without I would still be sitting in my chair watching TV wondering why I survived Cancer and She could not.
