Hello, I am fairly new to quilting and just recently finished my first quilt (all me, piecing and quilting). I have done small items in the past that did not require "real quilting" but just recently purchased a long arm quilting machine so that I can truly quilt. I live in Arkansas in the US, have been married for 19 years and have 3 children all still at home. I learned quilting from my grandmother who loved to piece quilts. I am excited to have found this forum so that I can learn more and grow.

Welcome to quilting and to the board! Since you live in Arkansas, you will definitely need to go to Batesville and visit Marshall's Dry Goods. It's one of my favorite places to go to buy fabric. They sell wholesale and retail, and have a huge selection of inexpensive fabrics. Definitely go and plan to spend hours there!
