Just Joined - I'm in Mesa, Arizona

Good Morning! I've always been crafty...up until recently it's been mostly crocheting. Started quilting about two years about...YES, in fact 2 years ago Labor Day I took my first official class.

I must admit that it feels as if I purchase more fabric than I'm actually creating but it's been a blast so far!

I try to participate in two local guilds - the Phx Modern Quilt Guild as well as attending my first Nimble Thimbles meeting tonight!

I'm a recent "empty-nester", and was a single parent for most of the last 20 years, I remarried 7 years ago and my husband and I have two Austrailian Shepherd dogs. My daughter just celebrated her first wedding anniversary and is a post partum nurse, my son just turned 22 and is studying to be a EMT/Paramedic.

Welcome from Delaware. Buying too much fabric? There is no such thing in a quilters world! So you must be a quilter. LOL

Welcome to the QB from SE Michigan! You are in the right place with every skill level of quilters and prepare yourself for loads of fun! There is usually someone that can answer your quilting questions. I have been quilting now for over 30 years and consider myself an intermediate level quilter. It is so much fun and sometimes addicting. So jump right in and join the fun! Again welcome to the QB!

Hello and welcome, I'm waving from my home near Seattle -- but sometimes I go visit my friend in Gilbert.

There is nothing wrong in collecting fabric, it is so low on the list of vices I'm sure it isn't even there... but when you decide you have enough, you might join us in the Fabric Moratorium thread. It took me several decades to land there. Some people come in sooner than that :p but we share the joy of fabric and the temptations on buying and the real need of "what the heck do I do with this now".

Hello from So. California! You are lucky to live in such a LQS rich area. I love to visit my friend in Phoenix and check out all the quilt shops. We until lunch time, then check out a shop or two, go back and sew until 9 to 10 at night. (We make it our own private quilting retreat.)
