Looks like this will be a great place to ask questions. Anyone living in a RV? Moving into mine in a few weeks and was wondering how you get all you stuff in there!

Welcome Dinky, Waving from Ohio. Need to do a search fora chair holder. Someone is an RV'er and she made it for her's. She had it go over the chair and it had all kinds of pockets on it. when done you roll it up. Sorry I don't know who made it.

Hi Ladies, Since my last post I lived for a year in the RV and retired on Aug 30 2010. We pulled out of Maryland the day before Irene hit and boy was I glad. They evacuated Solomans Island where we were staying and wouldn't let anyone in for over 3 days. I got back to Illinois that day. Now, I've joined the local quilt guild and have been going to lessons on new quilts and have busier than a one arm paperhanger. I've went through 3 surgeries and another is set for April 5. hopefully it won't take to long to get back into the swing of quilting. I got a longarm a babylock crown jewel and I am working on it as fast as I can to learn more about quilting. So far I've done 5 quilts that I have made for a friend of mine but they are all loop t loops but turned out pretty good. Any help with other designs would help!

Have a great quitling day.

Dinky

In an RV

My hat is off to anyone who lives in their RV and is a quilter. This past summer, when traveling I took material and my sewing machine and I was always putting it up and down to get it out of the way. I told my husband if I were to become a full timer, I would turn the entire bedroom into a quilt room and the we would sleep in the liv. room. and I probably would put a cot or small bed in the bedroom to sleep also at times. So there lots of ways to get your quilting going in an RV. - J

We only camp on weekends and some whole weeks, but I have to have the sewing with me. I have a storage cabinet under the dining benchs that I keep all the supplies in. I also have a little folding table & chair that I put up on an empty wall. It works out well. I really don't need to put it away if I don't want, although I usually do. My biggest problem is cutting. So I usually do that at home and take along the pieces to sew.
