Sue Fors 03-25-2010 01:21 PM

HI! My name is Sue! and I am from MASS. I have been quilting for about 11 years, and try to work on something every day. I tried to quilt for a business, but found that it 'took all the fun out of it', so I only quilt for myself. I belong to 3 quilt guilds. When I'm not quilting, I am either sitting for my grandbabies or doing hairdressing in the local nursing homes. Would love to meet other quilters from MA.

Hi Sue, welcome to the board! I live in the Capital District of New York, Albany/Schenectady/Troy.

My son and his wife live in Mass. They met at college in Boston. They live in Northbridge now but want to move. They like the big cities.

You never know what one can find in those little out of the way shops,. Always so much fun. i too have been quilting abut 10 or so year s and still have so much to learn. This board is the ideal place for learning

Sewandsew, there are many wonderful LQS's in easy distance of each other just a little more East of Leominster. A great day trip.

Welcome from Oklahoma with a Massachusetts accent. (born in Attleboro) So happy you could be here. There is always room for one more quilter.

Roberta 03-29-2010 08:49 AM

Small world! I was born and brought up in Lynn, moved to ME in 1976, back to Amherst while our son went to Hampshire College and then back to ME for good. How long ago did you live in Lynn? I graduated LCHS in 1959 and worked in City Hall Collector's Office for 5 years after that. Wouldn't it be funny if we knew each other?

memephyl 03-29-2010 09:18 AM

We moved to Lynn in 61 or 62. Lived in America Park, then bought a home on the corner of Hamilton Ave. and I forget the other street. It is the one after Washington. Moved to Central Ma in 1970.We were very active in Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts, both at St Mary;s and Callahan School.DH was councillor with Neighborhood Youth Corps. We moved when the city started to go down hill. I loved living there.

peterparley 04-11-2010 01:11 PM

Hi Sue, I'm originally from Boston so is my husband. We raised our family of 5 on the South Shore. We moved to Florida in '95 and live on the Southwest coast. We love it here and I do not miss the winters. We lost our home to Hurricane Charley but have rebuilt. We do own a rental property which is lovely and just next door. If you decide to "COME ON DOWN" for three or more months be in touch(Peterparley). Peg
