Hi, DebbieJJ and welcome aboard. I'm new here too and spend way too much time on this forum. Your quilts are beautiful. We live in Ohio but winter in Texas. My bro is a Vietnam Vet, too. His comment "Once a Marine, Always a MArine!" So we do not say that he was a Marine. We're informed, now.

Thanks sandyl and everybody. Thanks also for the warm welcome. I'm spending a lot of time on this forum, and I want to learn all I can, so if you have any hints or suggestions, I'm more than ready to read them.

I told my husband what you said, and he teared up! He's always said that they only did what they were asked to do, and the country just turned their backs on the vets ( not his exact words, but mine). So he really appreciated your words.
Anyway, he is very supporting of my present obsession--quilting. He MADE me go to Joann's fabrics yesterday to get some more fabrics! We were in the same shopping area, and he went into another store to return something, and sent me into JoAnn's. He's the best, and I'm keeping him!
