Welcome to another lost Alaskan! I'm now living near Savannah, GA, but would love to get back home to AK. We're going to OKC for the Holidays. Are you near there?

I lived there for 35 years and retired. I am here only because of my rhumatoid arthritis. The cold finally did me in somewhat. However, since I now have it under control, and my grandchildren are older, I shall return (thank you McArthur). I lived in Wasilla and out of Talkeetna. Sure am homesick.

I am in the town of Heavener. It is about 3 hours from OKC, and 2 and a half from Tulsa. Of course as an Alaskan you know that is just a drive. I am homesick as well. I am in a small town because I just can't seem to handle the "big" city for more than a day or so. I came from Wasilla then Talkeetna where the town was crowded with 200 so I lived 15 miles up on the spur road.
We went to "Los Anchorage" for monthly food shopping at Costco. I even miss having to call the satellite people to readjust the dish when the moose used it for a scratching post. lol
But mostly I miss my cosy log cabin and my friends. sigh Would love to talk to you. toni

Thank all of you for the warm welcome. I think I have found my home away from home. What a wonderful world of quilters. You all are from everywhere from Maine to Ontario to California in the States and Canada. And thank you for the welcome from Deutchland, England, and Ireland as well. I feel so blessed to be welcomed by each and everyone of you. Quilting is the great ambassador that connects us all.
