Just to say hello!
 

Hi... I just got registered and started to look around. I just wanted to say Hi... I make quilts, and I scrapbook, I don't know how many quilts I have made, I do have pictures of most of them though. I like simple patterns or strip piecing. I guess because that is how I learned to quilt. I'm self taught. LOL.

Anyway... it's late here 1:45am... let me guess, many of you are still up cutting or piecing? LOL. So I will go now and stop back tomorrow to peek around some more.

I live in Missouri, I have 7 kids, 8 grandkids, my husband just retired from the Navy. He was in 26 1/2 years. I look forward to getting to know any or all of you. I'm EXCITED to find this site! Peace! :thumbup:

Grandma and quilter of children quilts mostly. Need to get to work on a few table toppers - but rarely buy adult fabrics ! Trying to work though my stash. It has mulitplied while i have not looked. Promised to get through this tub before buying anything else.. unless I need: backing fabric, basic color fabric, fun fabric, awesome fabric, fabulous fabric.. did I mention I like fabric ! cute fabric?? and we finally have a girl ! So, If I need girl fabric. :)

Well, hello everyone! What a nice welcome. I had to smile when I read your post chairjogger... my stash consist of a bunch of Swaps I have done and a bunch of Patriotic fabrics I have collected over the years. And a bunch of Christmas fabrics. Not much else. This past Christmas I made four Christmas quilts to give as gifts and depleted so much of my fabrics. I really sorta let my quilting side rest the past few years as I was focused on Scrapbooking, now I have a room where I can do both. LOL. I was stalking one of the swaps here last night... so fun. The halloween one. I love swaps, my favorite quilt was a collection of 3 swaps to get one Huge patriotic King sized quilt.

I do need to get some pictures up. How do you do that here... can I use Tinypic??

This is one of my cherished quilts... It is comprised of three swaps I did years ago. I had to make more blocks to make it big enough, and add more border blocks too.. But I love it.
