From the Lake District
Hi, my name is Cherry. I’m from the north of England.
l’ve been a lurker for a while and I love looking at the amazing projects you all create. Leah Day taught me to quilt so I press all my seams open😳 I’m very shy. |
Welcome from NJ. I'm another 'open presser' as my sewing background is that of garment construction. Find it makes my blocks much flatter and easier to match.
Don't be shy - we don't bite, lol. |
Welcome from western NY and happy quilting :)
|
Welcome from NE Ohio, and as NJ Quilter says we don't bite and quilters are about the friendliest people you can meet. So again welcome.
|
Welcome from Northern Indiana. No biters, and we try not to step on pins. This board is wonderful for help with any problem.

Howdy & welcome from Texas. You are among friends here. We would love to see something that you have made.

Hi Cherry - welcome to this forum from another UK member. It’s good to have another Brit on board!
You live in a beautiful part of the UK - it must be glorious there at the moment. I’m across the country from you in Tyne and Wear. Cheers! |
Hello from the wet and foggy side of Washington state.
I also press my seams open, I was self taught and have been doing it since the 70s, the quilts are doing just fine. I try to embrace pressing to the side but I don't like it and so only do it when I join a block swap, which is rare. |
Welcome from Michigan!:)

Hi Cherry,
Welcome to the board! I have been to the Lake District. So lovely! My daughter lived in Widnes for a number of years, and when I visited we went to the Lake District. Went to see Beatrix Potter's house too. I loved it out there! So 'hello' from Mississippi.... |
