Hello all. I'm from Edgerton, Wisconsin and new to this. I'm also new to quilting having only done a couple. I also like to knit, do stained glass, sew, cook and I like canning. I'm pretty intimidated by all the beautiful work I have seen on here so won't be posting any pics for a while.

Ldydrifter 04-23-2010 12:29 PM

oops, how do you get the pic over by my name?

NorBanaquilts 04-23-2010 12:31 PM

go to my profile at the top of the page, scoll down and there is a spot to put the file for your avatar.

Thank-you everyone. I love some of the quotes I've been seeing and I especially can appreciate yours Kitsie, "Never regret getting older, it's a privelege denied to many". I'm 67 and I will never hide my age again. Great to hear from all of you.

That is one beautiful stained glass loon! I am originally from Upstate NY (lived there for 44 years) and had at least one loon in every room of our house for the years my DH and I lived in Rome, NY (18 years). Now that we are in AZ, I still have to have a few loons as a reminder, but have adopted Hummingbirds as my bird of choice. However, Loons still carry a place in my heart and soul!

Boscobd, Interesting, you lived in Rome, NY and our son lives in Greece. So many times I tell people our son lives in Greece (leaving off the NY with out thinking) and peoples eyes get real big because they think I mean the other one
I have been in Canada a lot and have seen the loons and been to a dollar store type store called the Loonie Lizard, referring I suppose to there coin with the loon on it (is it 1 or 2 dollar coin?) I too collect hummingbirds, penguins too....ahhh, fabric....quilting notions...
