Hi and welcome from the hot state of AZ. Now speaking as a longarmer.... and yes mine cost me a mint.... but I guess I would tell you to buy based on what you plan on using it for. If you are going to go into business.... then buy what is going to do the most work FOR you. If you buy something that is low rang and then plan on it working FOR you.... you well spend more time and working for it. Does that make sense??
By the way I have a Gammill Statler and I love it. It is computerized and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Hi, and welcome from Alberta, Canada. I have a Bailey 17" quilting machine with a stitch regulator and am very happy with it. I only quilt for myself and so far haven't found that I need any more bells and whistles. The 17" machines sell for around $2500.

I have a Voyager 17 from Hinterberg. I have a stitch regulator on it. I only quilt for "me". But many use this machine for their business. Good luck in your search.

Hey welcome to the board. There are some machines that are reasonable. Take a look at the "Homesteader" and "Bailey". I was thinking seriously on getting the Homsteader when I ran across a good deal on a Babylock Crown Jewel. Have fun quilting.

I've never looked at LA machines, so I'm not one to offer any suggestions..but
