I finally got off my butt and joined a guild in Columbia, MD.
I finally joined a couple of clubs, namely Thimbleberries and Jo Morton. I have been quilting for about 5 years. I don't quilt, I tie. I hate quilting. I can make patterns. I have a huge stash that is NEVER enough. |
Hello and welcome from Canada :)

Welcome from NE CA. Glad you joined us. I also said I would never quilt. But here I am, regardless of the fact that you tie, you're still a quilter. Probably 98% of mine have been quilted, since they have all been donated. According to my dh, if I sewed/quilted 24/7 until the day I died, I would still have fabric left over.LOL

Hi Anne and Welcome from southern Indiana!

Hi. Welcome from Flushing, NY. My daughter used to live in Columbia, then White Marsh. I don't like to quilt either. I'm a "piecer" and send most out to be done. I do quilt smaller ones and those I make for charities.

Hi and welcome from Georgia. So glad to have you with us. PS--I don't like to quilt either--I just like to piece the tops!!

I must be nuts - I love hand quilting! It's such mindless bliss and rest for the soul. Also a good excuse to sit on the couch is this nasty winter weather with a quilt on my lap!

Welcome from Ontario Canada (brrrrrr -29 this morning),
I'm also a "piecer" I've only been on this forum for a couple of weeks and thought there was very few who sent out a pieced top to be professionally quilted. Whew, I feel better now. Someday I will try quilting something small, just don't want to wreck anything. This forum is starting to give me some confidence to give it a try. |
