Hello. I am a former hand piecer and hand quilter (pre back injuries). I still do needle turn applique. I hope to take on hand quilting of a lone Star wall hanging made with my hand dyes. I miss the "relaxation" of it. Hello and welcome!

Good morning........I am a handquillter and have been for sometime.....I not a young chick for sure, but handquilting really brings Ole Arthur to visit your hands. Thanks to Aspercreme and Voltaren Gel (expensive even with drug plan) I quilt two days each week with 2 different charity groups. Enjoy my time with these ladies.
Happy Hand Quilting to you. |

Hi and welcome from AZ. I'm a hand quilter and love the peace and tranquility that I experience from hand quilting. The repetition of the needle flow puts me in another zone of relaxation that's very calming and addictive. Our own type of runners high I guess but in reverse. It's so calming and relaxing it certainly relieves the worlds stress at the end of the day. Maybe we should advertise it as the only stress reduction activity that also keeps a piece of Americana alive and well. welcome and Happy Quilting...Andie :-D
