Hello & welcome from Central Florida! This is a great place to be for beginner's. Lots of help whenever you need it!

Welcome from Southern California. My advice is to check out a local quilt store. They can be so helpful with advice when first starting to quilt. Since you sew, there won't be a big gap learning how to quilt. My biggest problem was to remember to sew a 1/4" seam. :)

Welcome to the Board from Minnesota, USA. There are many sources on line to get basic information, and there are many, many people on the Board who can help you if you run into a problem. Since you already know how to sew, you are in a good position to learn to quilt. Probably the most important difference between regular or garment sewing and quilting is the 1/4 inch seam allowance (or 5 or 6 mm, I'm not sure what it is in metric.) We're glad to have you here!
