When using echo or stich-in-the-ditch quilting, how do you manage the stops and starts?
|
welcome Tanya. I am interestd in the answer, too.

bring bobbin thread to the top- hold both threads together and start with 3-5 tiny stitches to lock the threads- then continue on. when stopping again take a number of tiny stitches to lock the thread- bring bobbin thread to the top and clip both threads

Hello from ALabama!

Thanks for concise, quick answer. I "get it"!. I'm trying to progress past straight line grid quilting. Don't look forward to the stops and starts or the turns. I only have a lap-sized quilt this time.
