Male(ish) Quilting and embrodering
Hi!
Iīm T-J from Finland and started embrodering over my artwork in summer 2011. I make airbrushing on fabrics, leather etc. As a former goldsmith I like to work with hands so via good lucky news from my eldest daughter, I started to do quilting two months ago. Itīs a baby-quilt with four different cotton and elastan fabrics and 12 embrodered pictures I made. I found a very good material for a badding. It is meant to be used as a filterpad in big painting halls where they paint ships. It is fireproof and safe to breathe through, and most of all, itīs cheap. I use 3M sprayglue to make a sandwich. Same stuff I use with my stencils in airbrushing. Now I have a plan to go on with quilting. I would like to mix airbrushing on fabrics with embroidery and finally quilting everything together. Here in Finland we have zero longarm-machines so I have planned to get one from USA. Any ideas? Letīs see what shall come up, quilting is really relaxing and fun. With best regards, T-J |

Welcome from the Sho-Me State - Missouri in the middle of the USA. A little concerned about your use of 3M Sprayglue - hope that it doesn't gum up your sewing machine needle.
